Free Health Care for Us Too
Sick and tired of high health care costs? Wish you could do something about it? Check out this petition to get Congress to give us the same health care they vote themselves!

And when you agree, please sign it and pass it on to as many people as you can, and get them to do the same, and on and on! Thanks! Margo Blackwell

Summary of the Dioxin Reassessment Science
This is an EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) paper from June 12, 2000. The contact for this paper is: William H. farland, NCEA, ORD (8601D), Washington, DC 20460 email: farland.william@epa.gov Tel: 202-564-3322 FAX: 202-565-0090.

Here is a quote from this paper:

"For cancer, EPA estimates that the risks for the general population based on dioxin exposure could be as high as the range of a 1 in 100 to 1 in 1,000 increased chance of experiencing cancer related to dioxin exposure. Actual risks are unlikely to exceed this value and may be substantially less. This range for cancer risk indicates an about 10-fold higher chance than estimated in EPA's earlier (1994) draft of this reassessment."

Why Aren't We Leading?
Here's what America seems to be leading in these days:

War
Nuke testing & desire to build more nuke powerplants
Use of depelted uranium in war
Greenhouse gas emissions
Energy abuse
Resistance to halting greenhouse gas emissions
Resistance to developing alternative energies & products
High health care costs
Dangerous prescription drugs
People, especially politicians, acting out of ego instead of spirit

Many of us are greatly concerned about our country. Our moral, economic and excellence standings are faltering before our eyes. Many of us envision:

An all new alternative industrial revolution. You will remember during the first industrial revolution how people worked together with a frenzy, as if there was some sort of emergency, and now there is. Not only is our entire world economy in peril from oil dependence and when oil supplies are dwindling as are uranium, the very existence of our earth is endangered. Species go extinct in alarming numbers each day. The ozone hole grows, and global warming is making its mark in droughts, floods with mudslides from deforestation and powerful storms like hurricanes, tornadoes (2006 so far this April sees about 3 times as many as in the past 3 years), and cyclones. The earthquakes are continuing in the Indonesian region where the tsunami occurred, and volcanoes there are still being watched-remember this is where Krakatoa lies.

So why not an all new industrial revolution? All new products requiring all new machines and tooling, making all over again, stepping lightly over the earth, working with earth instead of against her.

Just imagine all the jobs! And all the corporations could make all new money- except this time they won't have to spend their Bottom Line fighting environmentalists!

With all our American ingenuity, WHY IS AMERICA NOT LEADING THIS EFFORT?

Political will- the lack of political will. Were I one of America's leaders, I would hardly feel myself worthy of holding back our nation from this greatness.... not to mention the opportunity to help the entire world!

So let's not wait for our politicians to play catch-up. Let's keep going out there to create this new world as we are, developing solar, wind, alternative fuels and more. Let's make America great again!
